Attorney and Partner
Casey D. Kane
Casey D. Kane is a former prosecutor and trial attorney. He earned a degree in Legal Studies from Winona State University and his J.D. with honors from the Appalachian School of Law.
A Wisconsin native, Casey went to college in Minnesota, where he met his wife; they married in 2011. He began his legal career as an associate at Speights and Worrich, a plaintiff’s firm focused on civil litigation.
He went on to serve as a Deputy District Attorney, prosecuting everything from traffic offenses and DUIs to homicides, robberies, burglaries, drug cases, and domestic violence charges. He was a member of the Major Crash Team, the unit that handles vehicular homicide and vehicular assault cases.
That time on the other side of the courtroom shapes how he defends people now. He reads a case the way the government does, looking for where it is strong and where it is not, and explains a confusing process in plain terms. He left the District Attorney’s office to help people facing a courtroom, whether for the first time or not.
Casey also represents people injured through someone else’s negligence, including car and truck accidents, premises liability, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims. He works closely with each client on the medical bills, lost wages, and other costs that follow a serious injury, whether the case is resolved with an insurance company or taken to trial.
